A letter to the One Who Has The Most To Lose:

Hey there,

I see your involvement on Student Council. I see you made the Volleyball team. I see you keeping your grades up to get into a good college. I heard you lead a bible study in your youth group. I see you have a lot going for you. I see you would feel tremendous stress and pressure if on top of everything else you found you were pregnant. I see why you might feel scared and alone and like you would lose everything you had worked so hard to earn just because you made one poor decision. You’re a good kid with a good head on your shoulders. You think it would destroy your parents if they found out. What would everybody say at school? How could you get into school? Church would be out of the question. This wasn’t the plan.

Please listen to me when I say your life is not over. It may not go on this clear cut path you have but there are worse things than being pregnant. I worry about you the most. You’re the one no one would suspect of ‘messing up.’ You’re the one who may have the most resources to make this “mistake” disappear.

You are not alone. You are loved. This isn’t the end of the world. There are a lot people who love you and are willing to do just about anything to get you through this time. Give us a chance to do the right thing by you.

Love,

Us

Why do I feel discourged
Why do the shadows come
And why does my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

Chorus:

So I sing because I’m happy
And I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

So I sing because I’m happy
And I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He wathces
And I know He watches
And I know He watches me
