A couple of weeks ago I sent many of you an email apologizing for my excitement about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for opening the doors of The Sparrow’s Nest. I asked you how I could pray for you. I am so thankful for your responses. I spent a couple of days it seems like in perpetual walking prayer as God continued to bring each of you to the forefront of my scrambled brain. It was a honor to respond to your prayers and to lift you up in prayer. Thank you for sharing your life with me.

We have so many things to celebrate right now. Everyday is a new day of unexpected challenges but unexpected blessings as well. Do you remember that scene in the Lion King where the hyenas say Mufasa’s name over and over again to get chills from the power of his name? That’s what I feel like asking God, “oooo, do it again, give us chills again today Lord, show us you’re right here in the middle of us doing what you do best.”

But many of you expressed you are having a hard time celebrating anything. So many of you are burdened with financial difficulties, physical pain, marital struggles, watching your children struggle through life, you are weary. I just want to remind you you are not alone, God is faithful, and as one of The Flock you are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses who love you and care for you.

Thank you again for sharing a small part of your life with me. I am still amazed each day of how much bigger this vision has become than just getting a house to help teen girls from getting stuck. God is taking us all from glory to glory and has big plans for all of us.

How can I continue to pray for you today?
