I am sixteen and pregnant, I am working with an adoption counselor but also looking to possibly keep my daughter. Since the sparrow’s nest is not open yet, when would you start accepting or looking at girls to stay there?
This is an actual email I received through our website recently. How would you answer this question? Because there is more than one question in this one statement. You can hear her young voice saying,
“I’m not sure what’s the best thing for me and my baby.”
“I don’t think I’ll have support if I choose to parent by baby, will you help me?”
“Can I stay with you until I figure out what I need to do?”
The closer we get to opening, the more the emails and call will come. Because of your support and prayers and financial contributions we will be in a better position to serve this young woman and her tiny daughter.
Until then we continue to pray safety around young moms and precious babies. We continue to try to help young mamas find safe places to live and direct them towards the services in the area. We keep hoping the work that still needs to be done will be finished correctly but quickly.
