Kohl’s Cares Volunteers at The Shower of Love. Kohl’s donates $500 in addition to providing very fun volunteers!
$84, 360 in cash and baby items were donated in this year’s Shower of Love. The outpouring of support for the nine agencies benefitting from these donations was more this year than any year in the past. The Sparrow’s Nest was the only agency added this year to benefit from The Shower of Love and we are so grateful. We had to get another storage unit to house all the wipes, diapers, baby lotion, baby shampoo, pack n plays, etc.
We want to thank all the volunteers who worked two hour shifts at the O’Fallon Walmart including Ran Disko, Dave Evans, Geries Shaheen and the two special women he brought from Support Innovations, Becky Sieve, Vanessa Erwin, Barb Theodorow, Pat Watson, Linda Chase, Donna Donaldson, as well as the Kohl’s Cares Volunteers. In addition to the diaper drive Culvers hosted a fundraising night which generated around $400. A big shout out to Marie Noellsch and Gaye McGill for serving in the dining room that night. We also want to thank Ran Disko and Alma Waters for helping to pick up the 3 car loads of Shower of Love donations and delivering them to the storage units.
We are so grateful to start off our year of service to teen mothers in the area with plenty of the items they will need to care for “the littlest residents of St. Charles County.”
